The best NAVLE® study strategy for busy 4th-year students.
As you know, the NAVLE® exam has target percentages (for each species) that are expected to be tested on the exam. The Next 10 Hours is a NAVLE® study strategy that helps you prepare for the exam in a holistic and balanced way - to match these percentages - despite a busy, unpredictable 4th-year schedule.
To incorporate this into your study routine, just focus on your next 10 hours of studying. These next 10 hours don't have to be in one day (phew) or even a week, but the goal is to study in repeating 10-hour increments.
How it works is that every 10 hours, you will cover (nearly) all species that are expected to be tested on the exam, in their expected proportions. Since some of the species are a lesser focus on the exam (small mammals, pet birds, reptiles, etc.), there is a two-hour chunk of time in each 10-hour block that flip-flops each time.
This plan can be used from day one up until the exam, regardless of when you start studying or how often, and ensures a well-balanced approach to preparing for a massive, yet predictable exam.
The Next 10 Hours is based on the concept of using small batch sizes to tackle large projects.
